Think and Go Raw
How To Know What Diet To Follow: Part 1
How do you know what diet to follow? Determining the right diet can be extremely confusing. Even within the raw food diet world, there are vast differences in diet recommendations. Every time you read a different diet book, the author makes a logical argument and seems to back it up with solid science. Each time I read a new book on nutrition, I thought this person had the answer. I had no sense of discrimination, most of these nutritional theories sounded plausible at first. After much experimentation I found out these gurus were wrong more often than not. They all had some valid and useful information in their books but their actual diet didn't work. All the advice was confusing, even from the raw food authors and it actually kept me from going 100% raw. So how do you know which diet to follow? Are you like me and didn't know whom to believe? No matter how many diet books and theories I read, I still didn't have enough of an understanding to discern truth from falsehood. I remember reading and then doing the Zone Diet and later even doing the Atkins Diet. At the time of the reading, I was convinced that they were on to something. So I tried their diets. I wasn't trying to lose weight, I was looking for something to heal my depression, which these two diets claimed positive results with. After trying the diets and really thinking about them, I realized they didn't work for me and didn't make sense. My depression felt a bit better with the Zone Diet, but it didn't even come close to how much better I felt after eating raw. With the Zone Diet, you are required to eat a ratio of 40% carbohydrates, 30% protein and 30% fat at every meal. The author claimed that early humans ate that way at every meal. But after thinking about it, I realized how ridiculous a theory that was. Early humans I'm sure ate whatever they could find and I'm sure it varied from meal to meal. They didn't even know about carbohydrates and protein. They were nomadic and certainly didn't have a steady food supply. There is no way possible that these early humans ate 40/30/30 at every meal. If it was so hard for me to be able to eat 40/30/30 at every meal, I know it would be impossible for early humans to attain this without any knowledge of calories, protein, etc. Therefore I concluded that the whole basis for the Zone Diet was false. Later I learned there were a lot of inaccurate scientific claims in that book. The problem with science is that it usually looks at the part and not the whole. So many nutritional theories are based on partial truths that aren't true when looked at from the whole picture. It's so easy to fool people with diet books. Unless you have a deep understanding of nutrition, it's difficult to determine the truth. I tried the Atkins Diet and didn't last on it more than three days. I just felt horrible. Eating these high protein foods and not having fruit or carbohydrates felt terrible to me. Everything felt dead and it certainly didn't help my depression at all. There is a fabulous electric energy from fruit. You can't get that feeling on the Atkins Diet because no fruit was allowed at all in the early stage. How could this be a natural diet, when so many supplements are needed? I soon realized for myself that the Atkins Diet wasn't even close to being the right diet. Eventually I discovered "Fit For Life," and later the raw food diet. I went raw and had my best results by far. But yet I was still confused. Even within the raw food world all the diet books seemed to contradict each other. It wasn't until years later, with much more research and a deeper understanding, was I able to tell the truth from the lie. After reading several raw food books, I was actually scared to eat the healthiest food for humans, fruit. What nonsense I've discovered this was. I had been brainwashed. It wasn't until I discovered the scientific teachings of Dr. Graham that I realized I was being misled by all of these other authors. The first and the last CD's in the Perfect Health Program by Dr. Douglas Graham quickly dispels these raw food myths about fruit. {By the way, if you are interested in getting the Perfect Health Program I have extended my bonus offer by three days. Click Here for all the details.} In the raw food diet world, there is a remarkable amount of incorrect and unscientific advice. These kinds of blatantly poor teachings can only serve to hold back the spread of the raw food diet, to the world. When experienced nutritionists analyze these books they have to laugh at all the scientific inaccuracies. Let me show you how and why these other nutritional theories are dead wrong. And please don't just take my word for it, think about it, reason it out and then try it for yourself, if you haven't already done so. Use your common sense and it will be obvious once you learn the facts, that these authors are spouting a bunch on nonsense. Does Eating Fruit Cause Cancer and Diabetes?Did you know that the healthiest and longest-lived people are actually the ones who consume the most fruits and vegetables. It's amazing how our most important raw food, fruit, is vilified by many of these so-called raw gurus. I don't see any chimpanzees or bonobos getting diabetes or cancer because they are eating fruit. That is their main food after all and they are our closest genetic relatives with DNA at least 98% the same as ours. The bonobo's DNA is over 99% the same as ours. Do you know any humans who got their diabetes or cancer from eating fruit? Do you even know any humans who have been eating 100% raw all of their lives? The Easiest Way To Narrow Down The Diet Choices: Is It Cooked?Any diet that contains cooked food in it is not a natural or ideal diet for humans. No animals out in nature cook their foods, nor do they get the diseases that we so-called civilized humans get. But for some reason our pets get the same diseases as us. It's because we feed them cooked foods as well. The cooking process damages the quality of the food as well as turning the food highly toxic. There is plenty of science to back this up. I've provided countless scientific resources on this information in past newsletter issues to back up what I am saying. Cooked food is toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic and simply less than adequate nutrition. Every time cooked food is consumed our white blood cell count goes up. This is a definite sign of something toxic entering our systems and yet mainstream nutritionists are puzzled by this response. They just don't understand that the foods most humans eat on a daily basis are toxic to them. It never occurs to them that cooking is actually destroying the food. You can never achieve perfect health while still eating cooked foods. No matter how good you feel now, you could be feeling better. Are you going to be healthier with more poisons or less poisons in your body? I know so many people who went raw and thought they could do well with a 70 to 80% raw diet. But they all felt much better once they went 100% raw. I even know someone who ate a 70% raw vegan diet for over 20 years and there is no comparison as to how much better he feels on a 100% raw food diet. Stay tuned for Part 2 of this article.
