Think and Go Raw
"Use the Force" to "Burn the Fat"
Have you been forcing yourself to exercise? How long do you think you'll last before you decide to stop doing it? Willpower alone, never works over the long run.
Face it, we tend to do the things, we love to do. If you want to succeed in life, just learn how to love the things you need to do in order to be successful.
Don't force yourself to do things you don't like to do. Just ask yourself this Magic Question: How can I do this in a way that I love doing it?
Another way to get yourself motivated is to focus on the benefits of what you want to achieve. If you want to be slim, fit and healthy you are going to have to exercise.
Unfortunately, I know some people who tell me they dislike exercising. Those people already have a disadvantage, they believe they hate to exercise.
When I was a kid, I didn't like exercising either. I loved playing sports or chasing my cousins around the apartment building and up and down 13 flights of stairs. I didn't think that I was exercising, I was just playing games.
In high school I had a semester in gym class that was dedicated to weight lifting. I really didn't like it at all. Gym was normally one of my favorite classes. So I decided right there, just as in many other things, that I hated weightlifting.
I encourage you to give up using the phrase "I hate this" or "I hate doing that," because it really limits your achievements in life. It conditions your brain to hate instead of finding ways to love and enjoy doing things.
In my freshman year of high school, I went out for the tennis team and I was so exhausted from the training before our matches that I didn't play very well. We ran lots of sprints and did other conditioning exercises.
I ended up getting cut from the team, though it wasn't just because my lack of conditioning. That's a story for another time. However, by my senior year I was not only on the team but the top tennis player in the school.
I really wanted to make that tennis team, so I made sure to be in the best shape possible the following year. I started jogging one to two miles 4 or 5 times a week. Later I discovered Heavy Hands and started doing a whole routine with them.
So let's think about this: Why did I start exercising?
I started exercising because I really wanted to make the tennis team not because I wanted to exercise. I didn't want to be fatigued, by all the running and conditioning we did before we competed against each other, for a spot on the tennis team. So I had to get into excellent shape.
At tryouts the next year, I was in as good shape as the other top tennis players and I made the team. By my senior year, my fitness was the best out of all the players on the team. I can't tell you how great I felt when I was winning all of the conditioning drills and I still wasn't exhausted.
Do you want to know something funny? I actually love exercising now. I somehow get enjoyment out of doing my fitness program. Part of it, is the kind of exercises I do. My Lightning Speed Fitness Program is a really fun way to exercise. I enjoy it much more than lifting weights and having to drag myself to the gym.
But I also just love the process of exercising. Whether it is running, doing heavy hands, or doing Lightning Aerobics I just love getting fit.
I love all the things that exercise does for me and I even love the exertion and the pumped feeling I get when I exercise. I love having the energy to play with children. You know how they love playing tag or being chased. Unfortunately, most adults don't have the conditioning to keep up with their own children.
Having extra strength and energy can come in handy in everyday life. Think about when you are moving. I've had to move many times, but since I've been in great shape, moving has been much easier for me. I notice how I can keep lifting heavy boxes and go up and down lots of stairs with less fatigue than the people who are helping me.
My health, strength and fitness allowed me to do more work and not get fatigued. I especially enjoyed seeing how tired my friends would get, when I had tons of energy still left in my tank. Yes, I know it's my ego. It's always fun to be good at something.
I went from hating exercise to loving it:
You can do the same exact thing. You just have to harness the powerful force of desire. If you have enough reasons to do something or a really powerful reason for doing something, you can get yourself to love doing what you used to hate.
Hopefully my story has excited you to start exercising. But you may have other reasons for wanting to exercise.
Are you overweight? Then ask yourself this question.
How would I look, feel, walk and talk if I had my ultimate body? Imagine yourself having achieved this goal. Think and feel from the desired state, not your current state.
Imagine what it would be like to be slim, fit and very attractive. Imagine your toned and muscular body. Run your hands over your body and you actually feel your muscles and you notice that you can't feel any fat. Look at yourself in the mirror and admire and enjoy your amazing body.
You can actually see your abdominal muscles and they feel like a washboard. Imagine how the opposite sex (or even the same sex) just starts drooling when they see you. Your body ignites sexual desire in the eyes of others.
You have so much confidence now, you radiate success, health and happiness. You realize that you are a new person, with a new perspective on life.
Just enjoy this vision of the new you.
Doesn't this make you feel good? Don't you want to get moving and exercising?
Imagination coupled with magnified desire is "The Force," that will give you the inspirational energy to pull you toward your dreams. Once you have magnified your desire for health and fitness, you'll want to start acting upon that desire quickly.

Did you know that I used to hate writing? I dropped out of being a Political Science major in college because there was too much reading and writing.
Sometime after college, I started developing some reasons why writing was important for me to do, in my career. I eventually found certain ways of writing that I enjoyed. It was very similar to the process of how I learned to enjoy exercising.
The secret is to imagine yourself in enough detail as having achieved your goal. You may do better by writing down how you would feel in a journal. Take five to ten minutes every day to write a script of how you are enjoying your new healthy and fit body.
